I want to apologize to our customers who have been unable to access our site today and during various times in the past two weeks. Lately we’ve been having a complete web hosting NIGHTMARE with Bluehost. Two weeks ago their hard drives and a router completely died on the server and ever since they have been struggling to get this server back up to no avail. Hosting service has been completely spotty and unacceptable with our site being down nearly 40-50% of the time, which is absurd.
This morning I woke up to find our store site down AGAIN. After calling the web host I was informed that some piece of hardware had died and they were waiting for overnight shipment of a replacement. It’s shocking to find that they don’t have replacement parts in stock. Bluehost claims to host millions of web sites, yet they don’t stock replacement parts? Very very disturbing.
That was the last straw, so we have finally decided that we’re done with shared hosting and will be moving to virtual private server hosting. Both the store site and these forums will be moving in the next couple of days. There might be a few hours of down time as the domain names propagate to the new host. Please be assured that we will continue to make every effort to provide the highest level of service that our customers deserve.
Should anyone have any concerns regarding their orders, please be assured that all orders are safe in our system and all our databases are completely backed up. There has been no loss of data and there should be no concerns regarding orders and order information. The problem has been with faulty routers cutting off access to our store site and will be remedied shortly with our move to a new host. I thank everyone for their patience in this process while we make these much needed improvements.
